Description
The renovation and modern reincarnation of an historic two-and-a-half-storey townhouse in Aberdeen’s west end. Works involved the complete strip-out, remodel and reconfiguration of the space to introduce communal open-plan living and considered injections of light.
Made-to-measure joinery was specified throughout, including an intricately designed 3.5 metre high Accoya front door, solid oak staircase, birch cabinetry and wine cellar. A traditional Victorian staircase and sash and case windows were sensitively restored. New cornicing and stained glass were heritage matched.
Specialist fixtures and fittings include parquet flooring, patent glazing and Crittal-style doors. Further building works included new marble laid bathroom suites, timber and black zinc entrance canopy, alterations to the roofscape and redecoration.
